Slightly clumsy, sensitive & a dreamer, Marelie, or otherwise known as ‘Makeup’ when working on set, is somewhat the epitome of a right brainer.

Whilst business management is an absolute joy & a challenge, it’s the physical-application aspect that is the real heartbeat of Pout.

And that’s also how it all began…

During a management class, the aim was to create a convincing business on paper. Name, slogan, stats, payroll, the works. It was so convincing that there was no other way than to bring it into existence.

Over the years our colour has changed to a more sophisticated hue, the fonts have matured, the payroll changed numerous times (into non-existence that is… Cue the self-employment banner!), but the passion for transformation has not. In fact, if anything, it has only become stronger, clearer, and slightly wiser.

Apart from over-caffeinating and not taking life itself too seriously, at Pout we love serious transformations. It can be in big or small ways; like prepping a bride for the aisle, styling a singer on tour or squirting blood from a prosthetic neck artery.
